Ship’s log: Wednesday, April 26, 2006

As I have said time and time again, the greatest joy in this business are the customers. Along with this comes the crew. Over the years I have had some of the greatest, and worst, crews. The greatest are the only ones that I will dwell on.
I had the honor of being the “Best Man” for one of my crewmembers earlier this month. The entire crew was invited to Steve’s wedding, but being in Atlanta, GA they could not attend. And while being there I had the privilege of meeting Michele’s family. Steve; Michele is a very beautiful woman. Her family is majestic. To be invited into a family like this an honor. This is not to belittle Steve’s family. Marky has worked on the GE as had Kay Lynn. Both have done a very good job. I also had the honor of meeting Steve’s sister’s and their family and we all had a great time. They still live in the UK and have invited me over to stay with them. This is an offer that I intend on taking.
I have to spend a little time talking about Michele’s Mother and Father. Michele’s Mother is a grand lady. She helped out with the wedding and took control when she thought it was necessary. Not sure if Michele agreed with this or not, but I worked with her. Michele’s Father is what all fathers should be like. He came to Atlanta and already had two strokes. He did not complain about anything to any outsider, and he was part of the wedding. The next day he had to go the emergency room, as he was hurting so bad. This went by, only for him to have another stoke, and a heart attack. As of this writing he is holding his own. He and his wife have invited me back to their home for a home coming soon.
I will be there.
On to diving, do we still do that??? Yes…….
This weekend we headed out to SBI. The ocean was flat calm. We dove “Black Caverns”, “Three Sisters”, and the Rookery”. A great time was had by all. Vis was pretty good, but the water was cold.
Oh, what a difference a day makes. Off again to SBI. We got the S**t kicked out of us going over. Then the seas layed down. Again a dive at “Black Caverns”, and the Rookery. Everyone had a great time. EXCEPT FOR THE F**KN*G FLIES. They are back with a vengeance.
Chamber Day is two days off. Hope to many of you there. My Mother, Joy, and my sister, Joy, will be with us. Hope to see you then.

Until next time………….
